For Libraries

Sharing the story through libraries

As a librarian I believe in the power of libraries to spread stories far and wide. As a part of the Kickstarter campaign, supporters donated funds specifically to help me donate copies to libraries, especially those in Iowa and Chicago, both places that Mrs. Renfrow Smith considers home. As of the end of February 2024, I have donated 300 copies to school libraries and another 100 to public libraries.

The vast majority of these have gone to libraries in Iowa and I’ve had fun tracking the locations on this Iowa map in the room that serves as book headquarters. Some copies are also now in California, Colorado, Washington (state), Nevada, Maryland, Michigan, and Minnesota. I also gave a nice pile of books to Mrs. Renfrow Smith and her daughter to Alice and know they have shared them with others in Chicago. I have another 100 copies set aside for library donations and am hoping I can make contact with libraries in the Chicago area who would add it to their collection.

LIBRARIANS – If you’d like to add a copy of this book to your collection, I will be happy to consider sending you one that has been set aside specifically for a library donation. Please note that from this point forward I won’t be able to send one to every Iowa library that asks as I want to hold off to see if I can get some to Chicago. But please still ask and I’ll consider it. Use this form to let me know you’d like a copy.
